CERAKOTE CTC-997 PU HQ is a paint from the CERAKOTE product series specifically designed to recondition old / filthy bathtubs to be new again.

Application Procedure:
Clean the bathtub that will be painted from dirt, mold, etc. until it is completely clean then the sandpaper uses sandpaper no: # 240 - 400, depending on the dirt that is attached. Painting on a metal bathtub must be clean of rust first then layer by using anti-rust epoxy paint (zinc chromate / zinc phosphate)
Mix a set of primer coat (CERAKOTE CTP - 980 WB) with a comparison of comp weight. A: comp. B = 4: 1. For applications using a spray gun can be diluted with thinner epoxy or thinner PU around 10-20%. Stir until evenly distributed, mix enough as this mixture will harden in 45 minutes.
Spray the paint mixture using a spray gun, just one layer until evenly distributed.
If the condition of the old paint substrate does not peel off (it has only been dull), then the top coat can be immediately painted CERAKOTE CTC-997 PU HQ.
After CTP-980 WB base paint is dry at least overnight (12 hours), top coat painting can be done immediately by first sanding using fine sandpaper no. # 400, with the aim of removing dirt / dust that sticks to the base paint when the paint is not dry. Then clean the dust from the sandpaper.
Mix one set of COTAKOTE CTC-997 PU HQ with comp volume ratio. A: comp. B = 2: 1, dilute using thinner PU around 10-20%, stirring evenly.
Then spray into the substrate (bathtub), for better results use a spraygun type HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure). For Top Coat, it can be done with just one layer by spraying evenly and rather thickly. Spread about 3-4 m² / l-set
